I will overwhelm 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
